It'd have to be built very badly for you not to see a return on your investment,.. but I suppose it all depends on how much you pay!!

If your budget is real tight have a look at this offer:

What is the "average" price for a decent looking site with good seo ?  And whats the average number of hits you get if its high in the rankings ?
Just asking because I am spending a lot on local advertising but I get about 10 enquiries a week .

why not have both?

Personally I prefer .com  but rumour has it that .co.uk ranks better in google for searches in the UK.

Sorry, missed this last night. If you want the full package, my prices average between £300 and £400 depending on your requirements. The pay monthly options are great if you're on a tight budget, and give you many of the same features, but they are limited and you never actually own the site.
The reason I can do the pay monthly ones so cheap is that if you ever decide to give up the site I can recycle it & sell it on to another cleaner simply by swapping the contact details & photo's.

Had mine web site done for £500...which included Domain name and hosting. I know it's not window cleaning but its worth having one even if you do leaflets or run small ads in local paper as you can direct people to your site as it can have loads more info about other services you do...mine is www.poshstonefloors.co.uk i had a local guy build it for me.

I prefer .co.uk as we are uk companies, and I guess Nat does not like .eu.

I'd NEVER use .eu
Customers won't remember it and it has no benefits for ranking.

.ie is good for irish companies, but its restricted quite tightly. You actually have to submit your company registration document for review before they approve your new domain & it can take weeks.  ::)

sfy little early  lol I was meaning .ie but as you use the Euro then also .eu would be your domain

it is better to have both if you can get them, but if in the uk, I would make sure you get the .co.uk first do you not agree Nat. ?

For the small extra cost I'd get both,.. but if you're stick with just 1 domain .co.uk is a good choice.
