what are you using to get the reading ? hand held or fixed ?
-
were the frames dirty?
If so maybe you were getting the top of the frames wet and the dirty water was running down the glass once you left
-
it does happen on the first cleans - mainly due to the fact you are drawing the extra dirt from the top of the frames and then its drying spotty.
but it will sort itself out on the second or third clean.
-
reclean and rinse well
but wfp does not work on all windows well
-
rinse rinse and rinse on the first cleans!
-
rinse rinse and rinse on the first cleans!
you need to scrub loads also with that
-
On manky windows soap them.thenwfp
-
yeh im using hand held..
this job aint a new one, been cleaning for two years with traditional methods
so the water aint the problem?
the water doesnt run off the window that well
-
what you mean soap them. I have never heard of that for wfp.

when you was trad was the blade sticking to the glass alot ? I would try white spirt on the glass as this could solve the issue. test area first though.
-
When you say it is staying on the window do you mean it is beading?
-
If you have been doing these trad chances are there is soap in the seals. Re-clean them till they are right.
It's a pain the first time but it IS worth the extra effort this time round.
-
what does beading mean?sorry,lol
the water looks like normall water from tap when put on the windows

The water will either bead (kind of form droplets) or sheet down the glass.
Generally it is easier to clean if it sheets but it makes very little difference.
No one has given me a definitive reason why it happens, anyway it will become less important once you've got the windows scrubbed up properly.
-
the easiest way to solve this is to just squeegee it off , after a couple of cleans it will be fine just leaving it wet regards alan

because you are just holding the problem till you get fed up with blading windows ::) and when you stop the same problem will be there, use a tool correctly, do you go up and blade the top windows on a ladder ?
-
ok guys thanks
im using a di tank tp purfill.then hold water in 25l water container.
im using a back pack for wfp?
i have been told mayb need a ro unit??
-
yeh we usally do blade top windows
-
Depends on your tap water.
Anything over 100 I'd get RO it's cheaper in the long run.
I have 50 - 60 tap water and I use RO.
I do use alot of water though.
-
yeh we usally do blade top windows
if you blade top windows why are you using wfp :-\
I would be checking the tds in each barrel, I would also get another tds hand held to check the first is not shot (it does happen)
I would then look it the filter from water to pump is there any change resin could be getting to the glass ?
if tyou check everything and it is ok, then it is either the frames are pigs that will never come good (dont clean the frame glass only) or it is user error.
I would hazard a guess at user error on milky frames. Please dont bite my head off jsut trying to help ;D
p.s what is tds out of tap ? if it is over 4o I would be getting an RO

on first cleans i often find its quicker to squeegee after using the pole , that way you know the window is good and its quicker than going round twice which alot of the guys on here seem to do , also you don,t have to spend all day rinsing , all these posts with rinse and rinse again are ridiculous , simply blade it and you know its ok , i only do this on first cleans and the odd troublesome window , apart from that its splash and dash for me regards alan
-
what you mean soap them. I have never heard of that for wfp.
on first cleans soaping up with tfr will make all the diffrance for future cleans .

Me too! learned that one the hard way.
-
Oh please!!!.....
First cleans just need extra scrubbing and rinsing maybe with a higher flow rate.
I cant believe you squeegee first cleans.
-
it takes two to three goes with the water to get them clean and streak free when ur doing the windows with the water for the first time

This isn't true in all cases, I've started using wfp just a few weeks ago and I've only had a couple of minor issues with any marking. Maybe I'm lucky or maybe I took in all the advice that I could about scrubbing well and rinsing lots, because in most cases it is detergent residue that causes the spoting.
-
i soap m,y windows and frames now on first cleans rinse well and they come up amazing.
then the next cleans are a doddle, quick clean and jobs a good one. ;D
