No its not, its 'Lees general cleaning' allegedly.

They are from South Shields, cos they took mine after 26 years of windowcleaning, its probably the biggest and longest serving job ive done.

Get the violins out. ???

Then again, Morrisons to be fair did offer me to choose out of 811 stores to price for.

I priced a few, and even dropped the price by £12 on the one i do and still lost it, maybe my company just aint big enough for them, though had no complaints in over quater of a century.

'More reason to not shop at Morrisons' ;D

Weekly.

I used to 4 a week back in the 80's and nineties and money seemed no object.
But that was when it was Presto and 'Safeway'mainly.

Obviously due to recession and generally getting rid of deadwood over the last 2 years it had to happen.

Mind you, if there are 2 staff sorting out all those invoices from hundreds of little companies, as opposed to 1 invoice with 100 stores on, its not rocket science if there not saving on the pricing of windowcleaning, they can certainly let one of the admin team go and save money there.  :-\

Yes i agree.  Some releif managers were a nightmare, though always got on well with the usual store managers.

It was worse when head office lost the pink an yellow copy of the engineers worksheet, then they make you go back to store to get another one signed.  The relief manager was like " sorry who are you? what company you from? did you clean the windows on such an such a date?"

Even though youve been cleaning that store , when they were still filling their nappies.

I think i'll go back to doing domestic work.

But then the way things have been going on the commercial side........................I aint got a choice :(

Get them violins out again ;D

We've just lost the one in Alnwick to "Lees Cleaning" I've heard that they have priced every store at £30/clean!!

I spent a day going around all the ones from Berwick to the Tyne and priced them up, some of them are huge and if they are doing it for £30 then they are welcome to it.

Our local Morrisons manager is a complete pain, we can be stood there for 30 minutes waiting to get the engineers sheet signed and every week we get the comment:

"Are you not going to dry them off?"

"Er, no it's pure water, read your H & S policy we're not allowed to use ladders or steps anymore!!!!"

I'm quite friendly with one of the store supervisors there so I'll keep in touch with her to see how they're doing.

Yes, and some think that all contract work is a licence to print money, you get more loyalty from most domestics or smaller contracts
