Whats needed and how do you fit a diy van mount system?
Im looking at a 650l baffled tank from wintecs but what else would i need?
I only need it for a few small commercials ive picked up so im not looking at spending thousands on a professional system
-
Do you mean to fit the tank? If so you can get a metal frame made the bolt the fraame through the chassis of you van, of a cheaper way is to use ratchet straps 5 ton ones I think, you use 4 of them, again bolt brAcket to the floor of the van, attach tie downs to the bracket then ratchet straps over the tank and on to the tie downs.

Thats part of it
I will need a PUMP (WHICH ONE)
Whats else can i need to buy so i have a working system.
I want a port so i can fill the tank and a port to connect to the reel or i might just buy a manifold
I want to build a basic working system for a few hundred quid

I want a plug to fill it up and a plug for the reel or i might buy a manifold and have to get it fitted......

Pump-Shurflo ar e the most common, 100psi, but the flojet pump are susposed to be more reliable. Then you can get a pump controller to control the flow rate which will save water and cut down the wear of you pump but they are not essential if you are on a budget.
Other than that it will be plumbing in your RO and your DI resin tank,
So you will need
Water tank
pump
pump controller
RO unit
DI tank
Hose and reel
connecter and tubing to plug it all together.
Im in the middle of installing one myself, so im a bit of a novice, im sure someone will be able to give you some clearer adivce

You got any pictures?
-
Would the ro unit and di be attached to the frame?
-
im buying up parts for a DIY system atm
what model of pump and flow controller is the best in your opinion

I bought a Wfp from brodex but i prefered ladders so sold it. Ive just got 3 commercial (only small) but they need to be done using wfp so i want a cheap system.....
-
then dont buy a 650 system but a trolley or back pack, if it is just 3 jobs

There will be a few more passed on if i do a good job. If thats the case ill fill up a 650 and do them all in one day ( Thats what im thinking anyway)
If i can get away with building a syste in the region of £500 ill be happy

a 650 tank will cost u about 230, so u will be lucky, get a 125 tank, pump, two di vessels, and pole, u mgiht have to buy it all second and to get cheap
-
Im going to get some prices tomorrow
Thanks for the replys
