Title: DIY poles
Post by: Luke B on May 08, 2010, 08:56:46 am
Opinions valued as I am starting out afresh! I would like to make a diy pole and have seen that the Zensorflex 8m is very good, is it put over i should order? I also see that some convert a harris pole, I found this one which seems a good short length for ground floor. The shorter 1.2m:

Has anyone used this, as I wonder if the end is the same diameter as the 3 part 5m?

Also most with 2 poles use 2 reels; is it not possible to split at the end of 1 hose near the house into 2 pole users? This would need only 1 hose between house and van.

I bought a glass fibre 26ft Brodex which was on offer but then discovered the great idea of diy. It seems heavy to use too often so will have a go with the suggestions.

Thanks

I use a 5m Harris pole, I find it perfectly usable, even on ground floor windows.

Me too, only I use a small pole for ground floor.
You don't need two reels, just a female click on connector on the end of your hose, and  male connectors on your pole hoses. You can change poles in 5 seconds.

You want to make sure that the code has THO-818 in it here is one http://www.rugbytackle.co.uk/fishing_matchcourse_product.asp?pids=4206&fishing=RT+ZENSORFLEX+TAKE-APART+8m+POLE+(THO-88018)
There is another out there that is longer12.5  but I dont think any one has one ? Its called a Signal pole.
