And have to say wfp is still crap even after three years of cleaning! I've always said it's poor and nothing has convinced me otherwise.
-
Will you come and do mine! There in a sorry state & I can't be bothered.
-
What do your customers think about it, do you get complaints?
-
Yeah ive cleaned mine and there spotless ;)

I f feel for your customers if your still crap after 3 years Dave :o
-
I'm not too far away from Wilts, Dave, if you want to come over and I'll give you a lesson. My windows always come up near perfect.
-
that reminds me , my windows are due for their yearly clean ;D

Nope, no complaints ever! Just not good enough for me.

The Buddha said that attachment causes suffering, so why don't you sell your WFP kit, and go back to ladders?
-
A bad work man always blames his tools
-
That wfp malarky will never take off eh Dave?

I does not matter if it is not good enough for you, if your customers are happy get over it ;)

Next time just clean the glass ;) then change your business name 8)
-
Your obviously not doing it right!!!
-
get the ladders out when you clean your own ;)
-
I've had chance to look at a number of my cleans from the inside lately and they are spotless - i just don't think they could be cleaner. When the insides are done as well it's difficult to see the glass.
In fact all of my customers have had to put white tape across all their windows to stop birds flying into them! ;D
-
I've cleaned mine as quickly and carelessly as possible in the past and they still come up very well.
I guess you've just got dodgy windows at home dave. Sell the wfp equipment and get some new double glazing. ;D :D
-
mine r perfect as always lol ;D
-
my windows at home always come up crap. this makes me worry bout customers houses. i do it correct every time. I also have saw some of my cleans from inside on some houses and they are generally good. it's all to do with the windows i feel
-
ive been wfp for two months now, so just done the second cleans and i havent had a single problem!
everyones happy and a good 75% say its better.
the gleam on the glass when its dry is great!
and it def stays cleaner for longer.
i left my windows for 6 months to test it on dirty glass and they came up perfect!
you must be doing something wrong
-
david just pay a trad cleaner to do your windows i do ;D he gets much better results. but then again i only clean the insides once a year

I don't want to annoy anybody with this...But a mate of mine asked me the other day would i want to set up a window cleaning round with him. He had a big round 4 years ago and due to personal reasons had to sell it....He has been out leafleting, and quite a few people have said they are interested if its tradional and not wfp...Im not a window cleaner so dont shoot me...Why do you think some people dont like it, is due too the speed you guys can do a good job and they dont think they are getting value for money, or do you think some guys just need to take a bit more time.

i bleve its the element of personal touch thats underestimated in this game
for example - if you went to get your shoes cleaned ,who would u prefer,? 1. the guy with the fancy electric buffer 2. the guy on his hands and knees with a little box of rags

What`s the relevance?
Are you saying that wfp users don`t have the personal touch?

OH NO!!! I have been telling my customers it can take upto 3 cleans to get it right, should I have said 3 YEARS? ;D

i reckon i would have a job convincing my lot of customers if i was w.f.p . its just that a man on a ladder is seen as ordinary . whereas something new,"new technology" "THE MACHINE AGE " ARRIVING at their door might well get the hackles up .

I think people THINK too much! :)
When I started with wfp (6 years ago) no one in my area had heard of it, not even any of the other cleaners, however from 500 customers I lost 2.
Sure it took a bit of work convincing them, but every customer got a leaflet explaing what I was doing and I was careful to use the equipment correctly.
After a few months the other cleaners were falling over themselves to be my best mate to learn how it worked. (even one who had threatened me in the past)
It would be so easy to change over now, almost everyone has seen it and are just waiting for the change to happen.
If you have convinced YOURSELF its not a good idea you will never pass it off to your customers.
From a business point of view, wfp is the answer. You can make more money for the same amount of work, or the same money for less work.
Its a NO BRAINER!

surely if you trad the odd downstairs windows most domestic custys will be ok with wfp cleaning.
as to jonnyald talking about "the personal touch" when its comes to window cleaning by hand.maybe he,s right to a certain extent but its not good for business if it takes you longer to clean, less safe and harder work!!
if you look at it as adding wfp than replacing trad and clean previous inaccessible windows(above conny roofs/skylights etc) and bang on about frames cleaned as standard im sure most custys will be fine.
im dreaming of knocking those big awkward country houses and putting a good price in on a 2 monthly basis! ;D ;D
