Post by: Daniel Watson on May 02, 2010, 08:03:03 am
i have just bought an extension for my pole to get to higher windows but its now way too heavy for everyday use.

i need a 15-20 foot pole with brush for daily use

Eat some spinach and watch out for Bruno ;D

I would suggest a Harris pole from B&Q with a superlite brushead if you like DIY or I find the 18 foot Brodex alloy is a superb pole and will last you years, very robust and solid and rigid too,I use one all day every day and find they are great, just change the brushead and pole hose as they are crap but the pole itself is superb,I use a 11" Vikan oval brush and 5mm black tubing and all is great, the pole has four sections and shorter when closed than most poles :)
Alot might suggest the SLX as it's very light but I use the Alloy Hydra pole from Brodex and find the 18 foot one just right ;)

Martin are you mad.! I know your really strong.
When I started I had a 24' pole that I used on everything. But after trying shorter lighter poles I only use the big one for the jobs it' needed on.
With a lighter shorter pole you will have more energy at the end of the day, you will work faster and be able to take more on if you want too.
Give it a go fella.

main reason for the big pole - got it on a really good deal with brodex and i find its great for the windows half way up a slopping roof or behind a really big con or flat roofs.

i dont mind it at all, i will prob get the new clx from gardiners - say 22ft
