Title: what size ladders.... trad lads?
Post by: Ryan @ Transparent, Carlisle on April 30, 2010, 08:36:04 pm
i've 4meter and a 3meter doubles. and a 2meter a-frame

the 3 meter are about ready for renewal. and was wondering weather to get another 3m or a 3.5m ?

the 3s are a nice light ladder for carrying around on the council houses.

when walking round the terraced houses, the 4s can become a bit of a weight, and the 3s dont reach some tops.

i reckon i will go for the 3.5s   but just wondering what you lads carry

cheers

my favourite is my 2.0 metre triple , small enough to get thru alleyways/inside houses and very light on the shoulder

intresting, but how does if fare up, if you have to climb over a wash-house roof? And you have to battle with it to pull it over  ;D

if it works, dont knock it?

Only reason  i mentioned is because a chap i worked with a year or so ago, had a 2m triple, could of even been only 1.5 triple.... and i really didnt like using it. especially when getting over flat roofs

Wash house roof? Why haven`t you been called up or volunteered to fight?
 Are you a conscientious objector?

I`m only joking Ryan. It just sounds an old fashioned term- wash house. Like a throw back to the war.
