I bought a transit last week , too big for what I need , the guy I bought it from put me onto a way of earning extra on quiet days or making cash on returns from distance jobs.
The site is called Shiply.com. I have done £210 this weekk on it and spent 3 hours of my time , organizing and carryig out the work , which equates to £600/month net profit.
Basically you bid to carry goods for people along a route that you are already travelling.
EG, I did a job in Southampton and carried a 2 seater sofa back to bournemouth for £45, Ikea were going to charge the customer £75 for the same job , I gave the customer a card , and he booked a carpet clean too!
There are all kinds of goods being transported all the time ,, if you have van space , it is easy extra cash.

Sounds like a great idea, other than I never have room in the back of my transit for anything other than perhaps 3 bags of shopping ;D

Great headline Jason,
Maybe you should be writing ads?

Well there have been a few people on here saying they have 2 or 3 jobs a week , so I thought it would help , it cant take 15 minutes to empty a van. It os not just sofas , sometimes a box of documents or a car part.

Good post Jason, not my cup of tea but I'm sure it could be useful to someone.

The ones who are thinking "I like that idea for the quiet times!" are probably too busy delivering stuff already J.... ;)

Good post Jas problem is most cc'ers operate locally. This could work for people that travel long distances which is probably few and far between. Nice one for sharing at least you're thinking outside the box ;).
All the best,
Jason.
