Title: Converting my van to a 2 man setup
Post by: bassjamm on April 29, 2010, 12:10:16 am
Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of taking someone on to work with/for me and need to convert my van into a 2 man rig.

I make my water with a static system, so no need for re-jigging all of that stuff.

I'm guessing I just need to get a Y connector to connect to my tank which will go off to the 2 separate pumps, and it's as simple as that yeah?

Also, does anyone know of a good metal fabricator/welder in the East Midlands area?  I'm thinking of having a frame custom made to fit around my tank.

Thanks in advance.

Jamie

if u got a 100 psi pump  u can put the Y split after the pump

Hi,

I've used a system like that before without very much success.  That, and I'm using microbore, so I'm guessing I'd be best sticking to the 2 separate pumps.

Thanks for the thought though.

We did this for nearly a year and it worked absolutely fine

Well as I've said, for me personally it didn't yield very good results.

I'd rather have to independent pumps regardless.

Thanks again.

i have been  thinking of doing this aswell as i might have some jobs where a 2nd man might be helpful.

has anyone ever used the one pump and one reel of miscrobore and the split this at the end and run 2 poles off it?
