What Graeme is describiing is basically Hydramasters 'knock out' which would be your best bet on man made, wool though! hmmm you be lucky!

just as a side note, hydrogen peroxide is not really stain removal, but a bleaching by adding hydrogen to the stain and making the stain appear lighter, as such its only really effective on light / cream / white carpets and does have the tendancy to slowly wear off, so would be wise not to offer it as a permanent stain removal.
I normally suggest using it simply as a cosmetic treatment to enhance the appearance of the stain, not removal, as its actually not removing anything,

Fake tan update once again i tried but failed on the solvent route so had to bleach it rather than remove it. The one thing that made it a little lighter was everbuild upvc solvent the stuff you clean the frames up with.
This job was a 4 bedroom townhouse all carpets cleaned lucky the fake tan was in the bathroom
Funny the lady joked about men being a bad shot and would rip it up anyway and replace with vinyl she must of been happy with the rest of the house £25 tip 8)
