Brilliant vans - pay the extra and try and get the 110HDi - bulletproof and economical.

Thanks for the replies, I'm after one pretty soon so can anyone recommend a silimar size van with a 900kg payload that are good incase a decent expert doesn't turn up?
-
My Expert is 1000 kgs payload. And have had 7yrs now and done 50,000 miles and apart from servicing the only thing I have had to replace apart from tyres is high level brake light bulb.

Adders - how is that tank set up?

what sort of economy do you get?
-
Well - I have the 110HDi in my 406 car and get low 40's round town and high 50's on a gentle run.
The van is heavier and I hear of mid 30's and high 40's respectively. Strangely the more modern 110HDi engine is more economical than the 90hp or the earlier turboD.

GREAT vans!! i have a fiat scudo and 2 pug experts never had any major problems - i reccommend them highly ;D

well brother ;)
The tank has a small frame around the bottom that stops it from sliding around then the tank is full of empty plastic bottles that helps it to be baffeled, then it is strapped down to the van

I have a 2001 expert with hdi engine, great van, drives like a car.
Not sure about the fiat as they have their own engines in then ie jtd
But like some else said i would deffo put up a few more quid for the hdi engine as opposed to the straight diesel lump
