I don't think it would have made a difference.  The guy was "bogus".  He could just as easily have said he was any other trade.

norwich has a no door knocking  zones in place, trouble is no one told the householders. in the real world a window cleaner who has full contact details on show and acts professionally should benifit form these scumbags. i hope i bump into the scumbag while i am out working
