doesn't matter what the turnover is it's the profit that you want to know to base any value on it..

It really depends on the quality of the work.
If its taking one man only one day to earn 100 pounds, then not a lot, if its one man one day to earn a thousand pounds, then it's worth a hell of a lot more.
If there is only one customer, nothing at all as you could end up losing it. But something with a decent number is OK
I always think is it a lada or a Bentley, they are both cars that will get you from A - B, only one cost a lot more.........
Average I would say for 50,000 pounds per year would be about 25,000 pounds. Like I said though it depends on the quality etc

6 grand
49000 (turn over) / 12 months / 2 as ur buying half the business x 3 months value, just over 6 grand :(

why does he want u to buy in, if it was me and i was making profit and it was easy, i would not want to share

If I was going to buy a good window cleaning business I would be willing to pay up to 1 years profit, not x3 monthly value or anything silly like that!

You really need to know the profit which is what is left when all expenses INCLUDING the operatives wages have been paid.
For example Turnover £49k
Equipment inc petrol etc £5k
Wages £35k
Profit £9k
So the profit for a year would be 9k, as you would own half your profit would be £4.5k
To me thats what half the business is worth.
Dont be fooled into actually doing the work, if run as a business staff should do that.
Also make sure you know what he personally draws from the business and if he actually cleans or as staff.
