My advice is (even though im new to this forum) be as honest as you can, get a good accountant, save your receipts and log your earnings. The taxman is mainly looking for the dole boys, the one's that give reputable window cleaners a bad name. I found that going to your local tax office and registering as self-employed is dead easy 2 quid a week for your NI. By the way can I say since I have joined this forum it's full of advice from experienced members. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
