Detergent
« on: November 01, 2004, 10:41:41 pm »
I have used the Unger Pill today and found it very effective at cleaning but as with GG4 and the rest ..... NO SLIP! As usual, I resorted to adding a squirt of Fairy which improved the slip but created suds.

Is there anything I can use to give extra slip without suds?

Also, has anyone used one of those Guttersuckers yet? How did you find it? Is £1200+VAT a fair price do you think?

Glen.

You could try adding a dash of Sorbo Glide, its not a detergent but helps with slip.

I like GG4 but add an extra cap so i have some suds.
But every now and then i use fairy why i don't know but only ever use it for a day or so and back on to GG4.
Guess i just fancy a change now and then

Hi Paul, squeegee drag is something thats alway`s affected me too until I was recommended to
try some water softner powder.Certain Tesco supermarkets stock it,but nearly all Sainsbury`s do.
Ya only need a small amount, but experiment dosage amounts for yourself, you`ll be glad you did.
The rubber `slip` and glide` is incredible,also it dos`nt leave a `film` or anything of that nature.Also
try a soft rubber using very little hand pressure, hope this helps.

Used water softner powder today and it was as good as you said and a lot cheaper than Sorbo Glide

Tried the Unger pills and GG4 but found Glimmerclean to still give an excellent result at a very reasonable price
