Sorry to hear of your problems Mark. Here's wishing you a speedy recovery.

Speaking of which, here's some advice from an old codger who's been there, done that and watched others fall by the wayside ::)  Listen to your doctors!!! They have told you that you need 12 weeks recovery. This isn't a figure plucked from the sky. You will probably feel good after a lot less time than that and think you can just rush back in early and start to earn some much needed cash again. Understandable, but don't do it. Healing takes time, even when we can't see it and the pain is neglibable. Too much too soon and the two weeks you think you will save now will cost you another 12 weeks later. Treat your recovery as a job with a schedule of gradually increasing exercise worked out with your physio. When I was off work for three months (twice), I had observed the errors of others rushing through recovery. I definately had the last laugh ;D

Safe and happy healing :)

Hi mark

I'm very sorry to hear this.

Have you got a local cleaner or two you could pass on work to on a commission basis, at least it will give you some income.

Cheers

Doug

Cheers Neil.... I did my back in on Friday when some idiot had parked too near the back of my van opposite "The Bell". I had to man handle the machine and then a gentleman joined in, but he sort of got in the way and my back just went..... I've moved all jobs to next week but I will be in touch if I can't do the jobs myself..... Thanks again....

What are you like at cleaning ovens? ;D

Nothing any of us says can make it better for you or get you back to work earlier.
Doug stole my idea of subbying out some of your work so you could still get some income.
Other than that, are there any courses you could still do whilst plastered up, ie leather cleaning/repair or the like.
But all the best.
