Copied from another board

How many guys out there run a chemtec truckmount.15 18 20 or 25
Im thinking that there are a few of us and it may be worth while joining together to get some good  deals ( bulk buys) for service parts  like oil, kohler filters, couplings etc.

What do you think??

Karl you'd be a fool to sell your machine!
Spend a little more time marketing, remember if you don't ask you don't get.
You have a fantastic piece of kit there as others will tell you . All you need is the work to go with it and that will not beat a path to your door!
If work is slow for you its going to be the same for others.

Call me and I'll tell you what I'm doing now I have a shed full of machines?

Derek I had a Boxxer 421 for 18 months then sold it and bought the panther 20 when they first came out.

At the moment I have a Spitfire 4.0 and Panther 25

Too many bells and wistles on the 421 besides the weight  issues with them.

Remember you have pushed me into saying it Derek

The Panther 20 is far far better than the Boxxer 421 for air flow and water flow rate and  is a lot lighter too!

There now I've said it.

Derek it was not ment to come across in the tone it did sorry,

I only changed to the Panther range when I got pulled over by the Old Bill for being over weight with the Boxxer 421.

Its a bit like the saying women have "When you've had a black there's no going back"
Well I'm like that with blower sizes, to stay within the weight limits on the road I chose the Panther 20 because it had all the same workings as the Boxxer ie engine size blower size accept for the weight and there lies the difference the Panther was well over 100kgs lighter.

If you say so Derek.

But this thread was intended to attract the Chemtex owners with the view of buying spares direct from the manufactors at reduced prices. And not compare the performance differences it has with other machines.

Dave

A lot of people who have them seem to have had problems though, is there something inherent in the design or do you need to be a bit of a grease monkey to run one trouble free.

Sorry I know it's off topic, but had to ask.

Any more of your lip Derek and i'll pop round your street with  scales and disguss which bits of kit you need to take off your van?
 ;D

Joking aside fellas it would be worth you all checking the wieght of your vehicles before the govening bodies do.
its not funny being stopped the impications are dier to say the least.
When it happened to me it put paid to quite a few days work while I sorted out my kit.
i.e if I had a padding job to do I had to empty all my water before I could load a rotary. And if I wanted to extract on another job I could only fill the tank at the house I was working at and make sure all tanks were empty before I left.

Talk about ball ache  >:(
