Electric hose reel £45
« on: November 19, 2016, 05:21:17 pm »
Made this today with about £45.00 worth of stuff.  Hose reel slightly  bent so chain came off a few times.  But in new reel will be fine.

It wouldn't cost £45 with new parts though

Probably a second leisure battery would be best as that motor draws a fair wack of current.

I have another car battery in back of van linked to my main battery. If i built I could sell for £300 Inc vat an delivery. But I may just get the fixings manafacturerd . Either way I'll put full instructions with video on line. It's simple to make . Those motors are really tough and last year's. If they did need replacing what's £23?

It's exact same motor and chain. In couple of weeks I'll add remote control. This was just experiment with stuff I had knocking about. Soon as I'm let loose in maplins I'll developed something good that can be built for under £100

Now that's an interesting twist Smurf. I just thought that Jordan would have made them in a workshop in the Corby area.

I thought that Jordan was supplying WCW.

Those motors are 24volt. Do you use 2 batteries and cross leads over?
You couldn't run a split charger from main battery as it would be 2 volt.
Jordens are 12/24 volt motors. Thought they cost more than that
