Schools
« on: May 26, 2014, 06:02:37 pm »
Hi,

I have got my first cleaning contract for one of the schools  in my area. As far as I have some prices established for commercial premises, schools are little different, as it involves DBS checks and there are school holidays when schools are close.
The question I have is as follows. Do you have same hourly rate for schools as for any other type of premises?
Could anyone help?

Thanks,
Adam

Hi,
First ever post so please be kind.

I read your post and was taken back at the cost quoted. I charge £11.50 per hour which is cheaper than most competitors in my area.

You need to look at

Travel expenses
Cost of equipment and chemicals used
Wages
Uniforms
Paperwork to be issued and paperwork you will have to do each week.

Everything you do is taking up your time and time is money. Find out the going rate in the area you are in and try to come in close but make sure you are making money.
