« on: May 24, 2006, 05:37:08 pm »
I ve been asked to quote for this 6 bed detactched house in West Sussex

i only have the front pic (Sorry) however there is only one side window and the rear is exactly the same except where the front door is a 3 pane french window (i.e. a normal french door + 50% more)

im figuring £20

the reason i ask is because the bloke who owns this one is away a lot i.e. 6 weeks at a time (he lives on his own unbeleavably) yet wants it cleaning every 2 weeks!!!!!

£20 every four weeks, but if he wants it doing every two weeks and you do not have to travel far i would charge £15 as it would be easy money with wfp.

£15 sounds spot on, it all looks really easy access so on a maintainance you'd be looking 15mins max

Assuming there is decent access David, I reckon you are spot on with £20.  First cleans are often more but as you would have an easy time doing it fortnightly, I reckon you can let that bit go.

£20 for 16 windows????

Admittedly if it's in Sussex you'd want a decent price, but I do one almost identical in about 15 mins or so.
At £10 it's one of my best accounts.

I'd probably ask £13.

I made it 19 myself Squeaky plus it sounded like the back door had quite a bit of glass on top of that making it 20.  Maybe I misunderstood the description but thats how I read it.

Sorry, I mis-counted mate.
I wasn't including the tiny thin ones, as they're 10 seconds max.

Still, that's £1 a window for easy squeegee windows.
That's a lot. :-\

one account, i can tell you is mine for life!  ;D

I actually taught this bloke first aid (about a year ago) and he saved his daughters life with the methods i taught him  (she had a heart attack) - he is very grateful, hence why he wants me to do his windows .... and hence why i dont want to over charge him

i spoke to him this evening and told him £15 per fortnight or £20 per 4 weeks.

agreed on fortnight so a bonus!

Didn't realise it was a "friend's job".  Probably worth small reduction then

£1 a window is OK for this area IMO.  Remember, we have higher house prices here so bigger mortgages to pay and living near Gatwick Airport adds to cost of living here.
