Be careful what images you use on your website.
Any images you use will be able to be viewed via google images, and linked to your site. Make sure you can use the images.
Copyright violation is rife on the 'net. Many people don't seem to understand that a piece of work cannot be reused without permission.
I know this as an amateur photographer.
The following is pasted from
http://www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=152582This is a true story as told to me by a pal of mine.
He took a pic from the Internet, altered it beyond recognition and used it on his website.
Through some means I do not fully undertsand that picture was tracked.
He got a letter from the pics owner demanding a fee of £6,000 or go to court and risk paying more. He took legal advice and paid up.
Even though he instantly removed the image he was told he should pay.
So, you could visit your solicitor and ask his advice and if he concurs with what my pal told me you could send them a rather hefty bill for using your pics without your permission.
According to my pal (assuming he was telling truth) the only thing he ever got from them was that one legal letter. It was enough to make him cough up. But not everyone is like him. I guess the costs are incurred if they don't just pay up.
Either way you need some advice from a legal expert on this.
