Pricing it right!
« on: May 11, 2005, 04:36:56 pm »
I was out on my bike with a couple of mates when one of them says "I've got myself a window cleaner - he's charging me £30 to clean my windows every other month."

(I've always declined to do his windows as I've not got any work near him (and he's a fussy beggar))

Any way I snorted at the price (thinking "Blimey that's dear!)

My mate says "Is that cheap then? - I'd have thought £40 was about right!"

I said "No - I would have thought £20 was about right, but I'm not offering!"

He comes back with - "I don't mind, it takes me half a day when I do them myself!"

Shows how we can have our expectations wrong eh?

Incidently, he lives in a 3 bed bungalow with a large conservatory and two upstairs windows. (all leaded except the concervatory) -With a pole? 40 mins tops.

It's a game of three halves!
