Title: Have i purchased the correct pre-filters

Advice needed please, I have just got 2 x 20" filters that came with a sediment filter and a CTO filter,  is the CTO filter the correct one for using just 2x pre-filters . thank you

The same as I use as long as you have 20 " filter units.

According to the supplier the CTO filter has a service life of 6000 gallons US (24,000 litres).

For £24 + VAT  the 20" Fiberdyne filters from Gardiners have a service life of 75,000 liters.
