I have been looking into one of these, seems i can only get them from the states. Look good for applying chems to cladding/not having to use access equipment sometimes.
From what ive seen, the nozzle looks very similar to a wetblast nozzle. am i right?
Obviously all it is is a venturi but with a different nozzle to keep the pressure low and fire it further.
Could you make one out of a venturi and a wetblast nozzle?
Chris, didnt you talk about buying one a while ago? Thoughts?

I imported one...they are good but not as good as the yanks make out. Ideal for applying detergents to large areas quickly.
They are a bit of an odd thing to make yourself .This is roughly the same thing. http://www.amazon.co.uk/GENERAL-PUMP-Soap-Shooter/dp/B00GTPQ6L2
It is definitely a worthy addition to the pressure washers arsonal!

Cheers mate.

Matt, I have just over the last two weeks been in touch with the company in the states who manufacture these and sell them. I am awaiting a reply regarding the shipping costs after providing my full address! Will keep you updated regarding the final price and fwd the emails to you.
Cheers Gavin.

Hello Matt and All
I sent an enquiry to the below company for a price to supply and sent one of their X jet nozzle.
http://www.xterior.com/page/page/5830386.htm
Below is their reply
I am sorry, I did not see the e-mail with your address that you sent. Your price for the X-Jet including shipping is $341.75 USD. UPS will bill you directly if there are any duty and taxes. Thanks, Ken.
So it would be approx £210 and possibly more if UPS deem there is duty and tax to pay! Does anyone know of a Uk supplier cheaper or if the one Chris put a link to is any good?
I do not have any specific job in mind for it but think it would be handy for applying chemicals/detergents to buildings ect.
Any thoughts or recommendations welcome...
Thanks

yeah that's where i got mine

Same here, just under £150 with all the add ons (tax etc...) original x-jet as I was told it's better than the m5 version
Some1 was trying to import but not having much success last I heard.
A good add on for applying chems
It's not a complicated to make from an engineering point of view, just depends if there is enough of a market to make it worth while doing a production run

Darran,
Who told you the original x-jet was better than the M5? I assumed the M5 would be better as it had the adjustable nozzle (adjustable fan - pencil) and the chemical restrictors included.

And I'm sure that's the general opinion on one of the other forums

I don't know what job you have in mind, but Qwashers used to do what they called a 'Ladder Saver' on youtube . Looks likes a wet sand blaster and less than £40.
Just thinking.

Only had a brief look but It looks like soap and chems still travel through the pressure washer unlike the x jet

Some confusion. On youtube there are two vid's laddersaver.com from the USA and Ladder Saver from Qwashers/Q services.ltd
With Qwashers/Qservices.ltd you drop the pickup tube for the chem/soap into your drum and it is syphoned upto the tip not the pump.
