Go for the all metal hose reel and bolt it to the floor of your van.  The plactic reels do not last

I`ve just fitted a Hozelock metal reel to my van with 90 + mtrs of microbore -- I screwed 4 X 22mm plumbers pipe grips in line to the floor and the front of the hosereel clips into them nicely. When I want to take the reel out "hey presto" or leave it in the van and it undwinds to the right or left OK!  I found the hose feed for me did`nt work that well.

Good Pics, lighten up the dreary one finger posts !

Anyone tried fixing to a piece of ply, then central bolting that to the floor so that the whole reel will swivel a bit ? bit like a swivel TV stand from Iky ya  (welsh for Ikea  ;D)
