cool, make sure you let us know, because that sounds really good!
I just bought a 18ft pole, but now i think a bigger one would be a big advantage! And this is a cheap way of doing it hopefully

Hi Jouk

Sorry ive not replied but been out for a couple of hours.

Bottom section of pole is 30mm dia.

I bought a 6mtr pole and removed the top 2 sections. when i  add the goose neck it gives me a 4.6mtr pole which is more than enough reach for domestic work.

If you look on the site they do a 7mtr carbon fiber one that is not telescopic, it,s sectional each piece goes over the previous one like a fishing pole, with these you can make
the pole as long or short as you require. If you want to see the fishing pole with goose neck look at page 13 about half way down ( DIY POLE FOR £12.50 )

here some pics

brilliant jeff,if the bottom base is 30mm then the next one must be 26mm.if thats the case, we can buy the clamps for them no probs.thanks  ;D jouk45

Jouk

I dont think the clamps will fit as each section on the telescopic pole slides back into the the previos one.

look at page 13 about half way down and you can see the fishing pole one i made with gooseneck.

Cheers Jeff.

What does you mean when you say

"If you look on the site they do a 9mtr carbon fiber one that is not telescopic, it,s sectional each piece goes over the previous one like a fishing pole, with these you can make the pole as long or short as you require."

I have the 18ft pole on the top of this page:-

http://www.windowcleaningwarehouse.co.uk/wcw/ecommerce/index.php?file=product&idcate=80&page=2

What will be the difference between the two types then? axcept for the brush on top and the water feeding pipe?

Hi Leeksons.

The difference will be about £80.00 and less than half the weight.

Cheers Jeff.

jeff, you could mix and match with extenders clamps and the universal one, theres plenty to choose from.jeff, one more thing please are they 1mm wall thickness or 2 its important to know as they fit inside the clamps.my poles are 1mm thick fibreglass
could even dismantle my old one  for the clamps to make a new biger one.jouk45

jeff, dont worry i wont blame you if it goes wrong lol ::)

Hi Jouk

They only 1mm in thhickness, post a pic when you have done it.

You could make a gooseneck from 10mm plumbers copper tubing but it will be a little heaver, if you know a plumber he can bend it for you to the right angles for you.

Cheers Jeff.

jeff, I  was told by a nice man called brian from skypole that we dont need to use clamps at all. as you said just discard the top section you dont need.   what he was saying was use the pole as it is.   also these poles are origionaly fishing rods he said, used for catching larg fish like sharks ect,  so if it can hold a shark am sure it can take anything we throw at  it, jouk45 ;D

Jouk.
You need to disguard the top two sections to get down to a reasonable thickness your down to 10mm then.

So when you order dont forget you will loose 2mts of whatever size you order.

Cheers Jeff.
