Ive just been offered a job on a really big house! The problem is all the windows have silicon on them.
What do you find is the best way to get the silicon off the windows?
And I REALLY can't afford to scratch any of the windows as its a friend of a friend!

Use a blade and with elbow grease use either chemical frame cleaner or white spirit. Chemical frame cleaner is better as not so oily, then buff up with glass cleaner!!
-
I bought some silicon remover wipes from screwfix. not used them yet, but, be careful using scrapers, not only can they scratch, but, you tend to spread the silicon rather than remove it.
-
The silicone should be cured by now. Just use the scraper the same if as you would remove bird poo and the like!!

Who put the silicon on in the first place?
If it was d/g installers get them to come back to put things right!

Too bloody right!! >:(
This sort of thing happens far too often for my liking.
However, if this isn't an option then try the methods stated above but explain to the customer that there might be some minor marks on the window. At least this way you've covered your back should you make any scratches.

Get some cornflower from supermarket and some 000 or 0000 wire wool from a DIY dust the wire wool apply and scrub it dry. Try it, its a secret that works so charge big bucks but dont tell them what it is. Some people use talcum powder.
Ahhh it was a secret :-X
