Hello all especially you Kevin, going by Taidghs statement, yes it was a very broad statement I would never state that I have more knowledge than anybody else as no matter how much you think you know there is always something more to learn or new to learn. I am not coming on to this forum to fight with anybody about who said what or who knows what, but as far as what you are trying to say Kevin that I came over to learn from you, trying to make it look like I came over to learn from you or that's what it seems you are trying to say, where in fact it was in my own cost/expense to bring a Mr O'Leary over to you to look at your concrete machines as he was interested in buying one from you at the time - I never did anything stone related with you as a matter of fact the only time we spoke was when we went to dinner, I spent most of my time with Anthony and they weren't stone or work related conversations. So I hope that clears that up.

Regards
Eddie

I said nothing about your visit but as Antony has already said we did nothing but discuss stone and concrete. Every visit we have is at the visitors expense.  No you did not come on a paid course because I didn't charge you anything for the two days you were with us!  Finally I wish you the very best with your New Courses in Ireland so much so if you let me have the details of all your courses I will refer all future Ireland enquiries to you as the syllabus for all my future courses is changing and will no longer be advertised.

@Anthony & Kevin, I will clear up what I really should have said in my last post ,as I said I took a man over to you who wanted to update his concrete grinding equipment and you were the man to take him to in my opinion, however I did not go to you for a course or to learn about stone, any conversation I had with Anthony about stone was about products and ideas, not me there on a course and in particular he spoke about a new product which he wanted me not to mention to anyone at the time as it was in early production, which I did not. I guess I was a bit peeved that you mentioned you had me over for a couple of days when I was really there to introduce a possible customer to you but you made it sound like you were saying you had me over training me when that was not the case, if that was the case I would say no problem that I trained with you guys but that's not the case. I hope I didn't offend you in my other post in how I worded it that was not my intention and I hope I made clearer my point.

Yes Anthony I did solve my porcelain problem I had a product made which I now carry in my range of stone restoration products and I can polish porcelain without grinding it once there is no severe scratching.
And I will just add that I enjoyed my two days chatting with you guys and I was well received and made welcome as a fellow stone restorer, I have great respect for the both of you.
That's all I have to say on the subject.

However If you feel you need to discuss this further you can give me call or send a private email and we can chat about it between ourselves.

Thank you Radek, I will email you soon with information as I am not a sponsor on this forum so it would be wrong of me to post information of that kind regarding courses, talk to you soon. Cheers, Eddie.

Radek

I have cancelled your place on our course and  I hope you get a place sorted out with Eddie.  I must say I was a little confused though because the impression had been given that Eddie's first course was sorted for the first week of May and that it was full.  Never mind I must have misread another post somewhere!

Just back from Eddie lanes stone training course. The guy is a gentleman, relaxed atmosphere and real hands on training.I have been on lots of training courses, but Eddie and his wife Holly made it the most enjoyable course i have been on.Eddie has offered me a one day, one on one training day completely free, time to try different machines etc.Plus if you do get into bother on a job ,i can call him for advice ,or if need be, he will drop in to sort issues that i might not have come across before.

I second that  ;)
Those were two very good days, was leaving his place 9.30pm after packing my christmass stuff :) from Eddie
Cant wait to get his diamonds pads and jump on some grinding job with Rocky.
It was a good decision to wait for his training.
Next gonna be a hard floor training, lino, safaty floors etc.

Was nice to meet you Brendan.

Thanks for recommending this forum Radek, Eddie and Brendan..

Eddie I have to complement you on a brilliantly run course.  The hands on training and knowledge you were able to impart was totally outstanding. As a complete novice to stone floors (carpets and upholstery is my thing) I left your place with the confidence and skills necessary to get into this field and also with the promise of any help you can give. A truly excellent two days with a man who clearly knows his stuff.

Kindest Regards
Mike
