Hi Everyone

I  currently clean communal areas and some include lifts.

I have just been asked to use different products inside the lift as once I am gone the products I use leaves the walls of the lift smeary.

The lift walls are stainless and finished in satin, but aparently there is a certain product on the market that can be used specifically for this purpose but so I have ben told quite expensive.
Just wondered if anyone uses or knows what products I should be using, and where to obtain it from, I am not worried about the costing as the management company said they will cover the cost

Sounds silly I know but a lot of people use baby oil!

We always used baby oil. The thing is you have to use very little & buff it in very thoroughly or you can see the oil sitting on the surface, thats the mistake most people make. Now we tend to just use glass cleaner & buff well. Hope this helps

Try 'Fresh clean', supplier may even send free sample works great on stainless. I found it gave better results compared to equivalent 3M product.

Hi guys,

The use of baby oil is prevalent within the cleaning industry , we do an enormous amount of stainless steel deep cleaning, I can honestly say that the use of baby oil is one of the main reasons we get so many calls on it.

Baby Oil leaves a terrible greasy film across the surface which leads to soil build up over time. When it's used initially it appears to leave the steel clean and shining but continuous use is disastrous and can be actually quiet troublesome to remove.

This is our solution to deep cleaning of stainless steel , if the procedure is followed exactly as in the video you will see the best possible cleaning result.

There are numerous ways to clean steel , the above is our preferred method, but honestly I cannot emphasise enough that whatever method you use do not use baby oil as long term it will create problems for your clients and you

Its called Jsk natural cleaning paste
Its safe to use on any non-ferrous metals.

a small amount of Mr Sheen has worked for me in the past - probably not brilliant on large surfaces but ive used it on stainless hobs and glass cleaning - smells lovely too

If using any sort of polish be very careful no spray makes its way to the floor of the lift or landing.

Glass cleaner best for this and a magic sponge will help for stubborn marks. Be sure to buff dry, I prefer to use a scrim. Basically, treat as glass.
