I have done it along with other courses and can't fault it for content or Mikes ability to teach.
It's a 2 part course depending how far into things you want to get.

Cleaning and sealing first then grinding and polishing is the second installment.

I did it with Jamie, and you cant fault it. I have also done a couple of other hard floor course and they are not as in-depth as the nu life course.

Cheers chaps Nu-Life its is then, confirmed my gut feeling, i had a telephone conversation with one of the "other" ones and customer service could do with honing. ;)

The IICRC course is a two day theoretical course which has an optional examination. As I recall there are 120 multiple choice questions testing one's knowledge & understanding. The course is divided into several categories, its very well presented by Keith Robertson who writes Stoneman's Corner in the NCCA monthly newsletter.

The NU-Life course is a two day practical hands-on course. The lecture room consists of 1-2 sq m sections of most natural stone and tile floor types. You actually work in small groups on several sections of stone types over two days, includes stone ID, cleaning procedures and methods, treatment procedures and methods. There's opportunity to hone and polish too. The course tutor is Mike Philbin who has about 17 or 18 years of experience.

Chris

Thanks for that.  I have done several IICRC courses but not the hard floor course.  I am ashamed to say I have never heard of the other course.  I am however just doing some research in response to feedback in an attempt to incorporate more practical modules into our course and ease off on the theory side.

I Will also do your course when money and time allows, so will then be able to comment on that.
