Does anyone use a spinner with a portable machine? If so what machine do you use and what psi is it? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I do. I have an Hydroforce Olympus modified with a 1200psi pump auto fill and dump.

Basically the same as the Alltec Elite 1200. We only really ever use it for cleaning on trashed sandstone, polished slate, porcelain and ceramics as I am not a fan of high pressure cleaning natural stone.

Most of the time it is just used for convenient rinsing. We would actually be better off with a floor wand rather than a spinner.

You can put something quite simple together using a £100 power washer and a 2/3 motor wet vac with auto pump out.

how good is a spinner on the grout lines? I just use a grout brush, rotary and wet pickup. Is it worth buying an sx-12 or even sx-7 to link with a domestic electric pressure washer and wet pickup or portable. Or do you need a van mount or say alltec 1200 etc

If you have the work for a spinner is fast. For example we use ours for poolside maintenance where we are cleaning on a on they basis. A quick run around with a watering can applying cleaner then a pass with the sx12 has the job done.

On most of our other work it's a rotary and wet vac. Remember these units are designed as an add on for truckmounted carpet cleaners to add Floorcare to their existing set up.

For hard floor cleaning you will go a long way to beat a decent rotary fitted with a tank and decent soft to medium brush and a 3000 watt tri motor wet vac.

We use a rotary but have the gekko for rinsing  / neutralising and a 5 inch gekko with a single jet which can make a huge difference if the grout lines are proving really stubborn....
