Car showroom floor
« on: June 21, 2012, 11:03:30 am »
Hi everyone,

I have been to have a look at a car showroom this morning as they are looking to change their contract cleaners.

The showroom is a glazed tile floor.

We do not have any showrooms as clients at the moment, so I was wondering what everyone uses on these types of floors?

thanks in advance.

Ange

Good Morning!  I need to know exactly what tile it is!  Usually in Car Showrooms it is porcelain tiles that are used! If you can get me some measurements of the tiles together with the finish either polished, semi sheen or Matt (Honed) and whether they are Flat or Riven I will be be able to advise you on best cleaning process.  Also some pics would help!  You can post them on here or e mail me direct to kevin@marblelife.co.uk.

These units are quite popular for showroom maintenance once you have the correct product in place.

It is limestone but it has a PU coating specifically made for Rolls Royce dealerships.

When I went initially to take a look they were mopping the floor with the same mop from the workshop! Their biggest problem was keeping grout lines clean and also tyre dressing on the floor.

Craig went in did them a quick demo and they were sold with how easy it would be. They chose this machine as it was easy to use and less likely for someone to loose control and hit a car.

Hi Kevin,

thanks for the replies.

So far I know they are quite big smooth, polished tiles.  I will try and find some more info out. I know they the receptionist there but she will not be back in until the weekend, I will ask her to take some photos for me.

The current cleaners dry mop it in a morning and wet mop it on a night, but when I went to have a look it was raining and it was like an ice rink, so I would be really concerned about wet mopping it as it needs to be cleaned whilst open.

thanks

Ange
