ADVERTISING CUTBACKS
« on: March 29, 2007, 04:37:14 pm »

Just got my BT book and discovered that theres just 2 chem-drys,one other and myself
with display adds.Last years book had 12 adds. This year the listings are 14 and last year
ther was 5.Are people cutting back or are they trying to spread themselves too thin?

my own preference is a smaller area with better quallity advertising.
opinions please.
RICE.

Last year was a big push by the BT book for display advertising, do you think that last years advertisers are not adverising again because of cutbacks or because the BT book is crap?

Ive never used them for advertising but I know a few that have and wont be advertising again this year as response was very poor last year.

hi there

at the end of the day the paper directory is becoming a lesser used media, being replaces more and more by the internet,

however,

BT phone book are linking to Yahoo with advertisers information.

yell.com are providing business information to Google.

the weblinks they provide, have a worth.  !!!!!!!!!!!!!

BT phone book, have made a valid dent in the yellow pages market.

you have to advertise to attract customers, the media that you use to market your business is your decision.

if there are less people advertising this year, then it might follow, that less advertisings more response!!!

regards

martin
