Where Is The Evidence
« on: September 22, 2012, 04:43:42 pm »
When we buy equipment a lot of statistics are quoted to persuade us  to buy a piece of equipment.

For Instance  where is the evidence that water lift

Or Air Flow is best

The Statistics are presented but no explanation of benefit

For example why is it better to have an 800psi pump instead of a 200psi one or even a 175psi . How is it going to do a better job etc cleaning a carpet or how long a tank of water will last cleaning tiles if that is the reason for 800psi

Better to use your experience and that of others.

Ive owned both a series and parallel machine.  The later is better for 2inch hose and 25ft plus hose runs IMO.

At around 300psi it just gives more flow and pressure power at the carpet to flush out the soils faster than at 100psi.  Quicker wanding equals faster job and more thorough clean.  Yes you use more water but its Ireland/UK we have water galore.

Then when you move up to a TM, speed, power, thoroughness, dryness increases again.

Most of what the suppliers say is sales talk and there comes a point when the differance between two machines is so marginal in performance its better to compare after sales service etc.
