i use LTT products for Leather cleaning , but also like to try different products . so witch products are as good or better then LTT?? any comments Appreciated .

My own findings although others may have different vresults.
Buffalo....not very good.....but cheap
Furniture Clinic.....very good
LTT....the best...but most expensive

Avoid the magic sponge things.... c'rap

I've only really used buffalo for specialist products - I've neither found them cheap or not very good (in fact, I thought they were quite expensive, but good).

And I disagree witht he magic sponges, I get a good result with them.

Stopped using furniture clinic as the prices went up a lot

I do very little leather due to most i go to look at require more than a clean, infact most of the time when they mention leather on the phone i just tell them to ring Steve Gunn now (untill i get some extra training).

So in my limited experience ive found the magic sponge thingy mabobs good, i like them.

Products ive used are Extracta, LTT, Buffalo and furniture clinic and ive managed to narrow it down to errm.....LTT, Buffalo and furniture clinic    

I would edge slightly toward Furniture Clinic but like i say i havnt gave them all a fair crack of the whip.

Try Astonish leather cleaner- cream liquid (very cheap but realy good), use a soft brush to agitate and wipe of the dirty sludgy stuff with a damp cloth finish with a light wipe over with Hydrphane leather dressing oil. your custies will love it

[LTT Leathercare]

Hydrophame leather dressing oil is for saddles.  Saddle products should not be used on modern finished leathers (the majority of furniture upholstery) as they are likely to damage the finish on the leather - apart from being completely the wrong approach to looking after modern leather.  Oils are not required and will attract more dirt which will break down the finish.  Same with magic sponges which should be avoided unless you are doing some restoration work in which case they are fine.

I must admit as stated by customers it has the wow factor but if what you say is correct what would you suggest or reccomend as a final dressing or conditioner most leather cleaners say they have built in conditioners however light color leather looks dull on completion. I dont do loads of leather cleaning but have had good results it is time consuming work and having a great result is what i and my customers demand.

Products that work are always going to be more expensive because they have active ingredients that are more expensive to produce.  These products usually require far less to get good results and also give results in a quicker time which means they are cost effective on all levels.
Cheaper products will nearly always use more during use and if they don't give the expected results they are then a waste of money anyway together with taking more time as you usually have to repeat the process.

We also provide a high level of technical support and usually find that if cleaners are not getting good results with their product choice it is either due to their choice of cleaner or method or both.  It is also crucial to understand what you are trying to clean.  A lot of the time on modern leather (particularly pale colours) the reason that good results are not achieved is due to damaged pigment rather than dirt.  Understanding this and how to check for it during your risk assessment is crucial to good results.  Damaged pigment has often been caused by incorrect product use in the first place so adding to that will only make matters worse!!

Priced one up a couple of weeks ago and did on Friday.
It was cream and heavily soiled and I told the owner I
really didn't want to do it as result might not be what
he wanted. He said just give it a go and whatever it
looks like I'll pay you. So I said are you bothered if I use
unconventional methods as an experiment and he said
no.
Solutions HD @ 40ml per litre sprayed on, gently agitated,
left to dwell then wiped off with damp terry towels.
Repeated on heavy areas.
Followed up by LTT Strong Cleaner and finally a protector.
I was impressed with the results and so was customer.
Got to remember to start taking photographs.

What you need to watch out for with liquid cleaners is they are more likely to run especially on sides potentially leaving streaks or run marks. Foam is much better to use to avoid this but also sits on surface bettr givng product dwell time.
