To those that use the 'free room' letters. Ever had any luck in January, or am I wasting my time?  I've noticed during last year that these letters seem to have seaonal responses.

Alan ,

Do you actually use the Free Room Letter?

When I did the Mini Marketin programme many moons ago the Guys who actually sent out the letters appeared to get excellent results.
It was this time year. And it was to exsisting clients

In fact I got excecunmicated by Alltec for publishing the results on another Forum.

Even though I thought the results were impresive.

Personally I find the idea of giving away a Free Room frightening and askin for notihng  not even a Cup of Tea in return. Very hard to swallow.

I have also found that people are reluctant to  talk   about this stratergy  on Forums even though in te past when you go to a Discovery Day you are encouraged to try it. And they no longer appear to charge for Discovery Days.

So its no big secret as thousands of Carpet Cleaners must be aware of it.

I tend to use it when things go a bit quiet. Even then I get a mixed response; Week 1 - 100 letters out £600 in. Week 2 - 100 letters out ... jack all.
I wouldn't say you could get rich with this method but when you want to get new clients in when its quiet it's less stressful walking 100 letters out than sitting on your backside at home worrying.

Any succesful idea's for this time of year?

All I can say is if 200 letters bring you in £600 do more of the same.

Maybee I should give it a go  to selected houses

As I need 3000 leaflets to get £600 if the winds in the right direction.

We hit the telephones but we are trying to move away from it.
