where to get spares/replacement parts
« on: November 29, 2011, 09:47:06 am »
As now im having to do repairs myself and im still quite new to it, does anyone know of a good place to get replacement parts for HWE's. Having trouble to find a replacement heater for the Extacta CX we have, the boss doesnt want to shell out to send it off the get it replacement at Extracta, so he is asking me to do it which i wouldnt mind but do really know that much about internals of it.
Anyone have any good sites or any good suggestions when getting into to unknown under garments of the carpet machine?

Can you not just order the parts you need from extracta and then fit them yourselves ?

That's what we've done in the past

woodbridge commercial or you can try my supplier Wakefield Floor Care ask for John or Kevin they will sort you ot the right parts and next day delivery.

If local call in and they will do the repair very reasonably.

The Extracta heater is just a 3kw kettle element any electrical parts supplier will have them.
Bit concerned your boss is asking you to do this when you don't know what you are doing. Recipe for disaster. If you get electricuted he'll not be cleaning carpets for a while.

Wakefield Floorcare

Good for parts but repairs are quite expensive.
£270 for fitting a new vac motor last time.
