Title: Change of pole!
Post by: Richard Stevenson on February 22, 2019, 02:32:32 pm
Thinking of changing my extreme 47, due to wear and tear, for the super max 3m 45. My only concern is weight. We can use the extreme for 3 hours stretches, are those few grams going make me regret. Even with a saving  of £500 . Your view would be appreciated.

If you are having to use a 47’ pole for 3 hour stretches surely you have priced the work accordingly  to reflect this? In which case go for the Extreme.

Its not just weight that you should consider also the rigidity of a pole at these heights.

We have the ultimate, but only use it at 70 + feet due to high replacement price

I use a supermax 3k 45 for 4 hours straight if it's windy.
If it's not windy I prefer to use extreme anyday . After two hours using supermax 3k you can notice the extra weight. Can do a whole day with a supermax but it's tiring. Lovely rigid pole though.
