Free google advertising

Anyone advertise on google?? You can get free advertising by signing up and comes up on google maps. Does anyone know why when i google window cleaners in such and such my business doesn't come up,but when you put in my business name and town it does.???

Any comments would be great

As said above get a good seo book or get a seo consultant, years ago used to spen about £4000 on yellow pages add, now spend on seo, and it works and in my other business, we get massive return on investment.
