Cleaning tarmac & asphalt with fsc

Watters:
Morning peeps

Is it ok to use 21lpm at 3000psi using a 20” fsc on tarmac and asphalt?

Heard so many bad stories about cleaning these types of driveways.

Any chemicals applied before or after?

Cheers  :)

Yes but make sure that the surface isn’t old and starting to have loose bits of tarmac come off it with the pressure . The hardest thing cleaning that will be tarmac holds the dirt in the grain as it were between the stones and it can look stripped and it’s difficult to rinse and get rid of it .
As for chemicals doubt you will need much if it’s old tarmac and has a bit of moss or algae on it a hypo mix will kill it but if new tarmac it could bleach it causing uneven colour .

Smudger:
Pretty much as above - be careful on start up (when pulling trigger) if poss start up just off the tarmac area - other than steam it's  a very effective way to clean tarmac

Is that not a rubberised flooring as it’s in a playground?

Banging job that is mate, did you just use a fsc cold water for that job ? Was it with the same spec machine as mine too, gx390 21lpm 2900psi.

Smudger:
That was tarmac - this is rubber...

some just talk the talk - the rest of use walk the walk  ;D
