i saw today a £50 note that someone was trying to spend in a shop [ an old lady] who incidentally had a purse full !! she pleaded ignorance said she was shocked so i asked to have a look at it. amazing could not tell the difference from the real one apart from  the colour which  was ever so slightly lighter it passed the ink rub test but not the infra red. it may be worth thinking about this when being paid in cash

Good point Pete I never look at the money, dont even count it infront of them so I could get caught easy will keep it in mind
