Title: Ladders Size
Post by: Mark Betts on January 09, 2004, 12:06:18 am
Someone has offered me a ladder to get started.

2.47 m double extension.

Is this big enough for Domestic??

Thanks

Mark

If it's free take it, otherwise I'd say it was too short. I use a 2.6m triple ex which is suitable for most 2 storey domestic work. It has a working height of around 6m.
You can pick a trade one up for around £100.

Hi Mark
The ladder i use most is 3.66 mtrs so i think the one you have been offered is a bit on the short side.

I use 3.5m triples, though I only use the 3rd section occasionally as it hurts your back to carry.  Trade duty is a must.  Though more expensive than domestic duty, they are safer.

Before I got these, I used 3.5m double section.  I'd say anything smaller is a bit too short
