Hi everyone, not been on the forum for a while. I was wondering if there are any gadgets or tools out there for clearing downpipes?
And also any advice or methods for tackling this issue? 🤔

after your horrific ladder accident i thought you d pack in the gutter clearing and stick to ladderless WFP cleaning,i fell off ladders clearing gutters too many years ago but i was luckier than you but i still wont go back to clearing them out anymore.....

I've always found a half bucket of water flushes them out.

I poke a length of garden hose in the downpipe, then flush any blockage with water in my spare boab.

Bad one was it?
I have a guy works for me, lucky to be alive. Working as a tree surgeon (long before he worked for me), he fell 30ft and landed in a industrial bin. Broke many bones and lost his front teeth. Four hours before anyone found him. Nasty business.

old curtain track is the best thing we have found you can bend it round the down pipes neck and give it some stick as they dont snap

One of these is handy. https://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/water-fed-poles/goosenecks-pole-fittings/pole-fittings/quick-loqtm-gutter-spike.html
As previously mentioned, push a hose up the downpipe from underneath and, if that doesn't work, turn the water on.

I have one of these they are very good but the water jet is a complete waist of time you need a large volume of water not a trickle that that 2 mm jet will give you
