Is this a good price? - £16,179 + Vat.
-
for an extra £800 you could get a 310 limited 130ps.

Where from? Btw, I don't want colour coded bumpers.

https://www.new-car-discount.com/van/ford/transit-custom-310-l1-diesel-fwd/van/diesel/manual/2.0-tdci-130ps-low-roof-limited-van/16/ dont know about what bumpers it comes with

290 base model https://www.new-car-discount.com/van/ford/transit-custom-290-l1-diesel-fwd/van/diesel/manual/2.0-tdci-130ps-low-roof-van/16/

Base model - black bumpers, black wing mirrors, steelies
Trend -colour coded fromt bumper, black rear bumper, black wing mirror, steelies with hubcaps
Limited - colour coded bumpers, mirrors, 16" alloys
3 different power outputs - 105/130/170
I reckon you could get a lower price 8weekly, baring on mind your going for literally the lowest spec in regards to output and trim, but I'd more look at your monthlys rather than total cost
(I got my limited for a similar price to the one you've just stated but it was Euro 5 125, coming into producing Euro 6 so think they were trying to get rid of stock)

Cheers for that. £1,500 saving on the 105. https://www.new-car-discount.com/van/ford/transit-custom-290-l1-diesel-fwd/van/diesel/manual/2.0-tdci-105ps-low-roof-van/16/

Thats a trend not a base (colour coded front bumper) , base should be cheaper

I think it's an illustrative picture. Trend is here: https://www.new-car-discount.com/van/ford/transit-custom-290-l2-diesel-fwd/van/diesel/manual/2.0-tdci-105ps-low-roof-trend-van/16/

God no it's not a good price. I paid £400 more and got a 310 trend with options like air con etc.
Should be looking at around 14k. I'd go with the Euro5 engine though as I heard through the grape vine they have big issues with euro 6's and even talking of manifold, injector swap next.

Thank for this guys. I was going to order it today. Will check out these people now. I was in touch with another web based one but they seem interested only in shifting what they have there and then.
-
For comparison I checked out the new Expert today. Definitely not the same build quality as a Custom. Looks nice though.

PROBLEMS WITH THE EURO 6 ????
I was on Monday going to slap a deposit on a custom sport 290 170 ps auto box.
The 310 are like rocking horse.....

That's because they dont do a 310 sport...
There have been a few oil change lights and service lights popping up after only a few thousand miles on the euro 6 version.
Not all, but the ones that have had this have found it...tough shall we say...to get it fixed.
You only ever hear the bad stories though mate, for every person having a problem, they'll be a hundreds upon hundreds that don't have any issues (and they'll recall if anythings common like they did on the euro 5)

The euro 6 problems might involve new injectors and an engine strip down!
Gonna order the new face lift end of the year but only if they have sorted Euro 6 issues!!!

It's mainly down to the fact of having to add "adblue" the connect was the only Euro6 engine that ford did on the commercial front without needing it :) So you should be fine.
