decent microfibre mop system
« on: November 24, 2015, 11:36:15 pm »
My guys are moaning at me too often for the mop system we use. it's similar to the picture below, which they dislike as the base is forever flipping over when mopping.

http://www.sydneycleaningsupplies.com.au/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/384x349/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/2/7/27110_edco_microfibre_power_mop_in_opperation.jpg

would like to keep it to a similar style as above, just perhaps with a better build design that doesn't flip over so much.

any suggestions?

That is an octopus head designed for emulsifying  pads for doing edges etc.  SYR do much better flat mopping systems.  Your link is Australian??

I have just watched the videos and I have a couple of questions.

I can see that the system works well in a domestic or very small commercial area but what happens if you have
a.  No running water
b.  A very large area let's say 250 M2

How many of those pads would you need?
Don't you get knackered scrubbing manually?
Each pad picks up dirt quickly so how do you rinse them?
I noticed on the flat mopping part (Rinsing) the Microfibre cloth came off twice so how do you keep it on?
Do you manually spray first?  If so how long does that take?

This isn't having a go I am just trying to understand!!!

You can buy these pads for rotarys to work on larger areas.

But yes, its not cost efective for longer run. Would cost you probably around 40 euros to cover the cost of pads for this 250m2 depends on what king of tiles and if the floor is uneven.

Hi Kevin, for deep cleaning large areas we would recommend using compressed melamine floor pads, 1 x compressed melamine floor pad would easily deep clean 300 to 400 sq meters depending on how heavily soiled the surface is and would cost £7 for a 16 inch diameter micro-cleaning floor pad, for deep cleaning small areas when you combine the power of colloidal chemistry in combination with micro-cleaning pad technology its effortless work really.
with micro-cleaning mop pads just fold them in half and squeeze out the soils under a running tap, i don't get your point on the microfiber floor cloth coming off at no stage on the video did it come off maybe your missing the point on how our step back mopping system actually works in fairness many people do as they are conformed to mopping floors with either cotton string mops or microfiber mop pads, but if you think about why its called a step back mopping system the reason is there trust me. Hi Radek, just to let you know we now promote compressed micro-cleaning floor pads which are four times more durable than our previous standard melamine pads. Tadgh

Sorry I wasn't referring to the the piece of cushion flooring a child of 6 could clean that!   I was talking about the R11 porcelain tiles in the next video.

thats right Kevin those matt finish anti slip studded porcelain tiles are not compatible for mopping with any type of floor cloth, some result though in pulling out the ingrained soils with the micro-cleaning mop pad i'm sure you'll agree. Tadgh
