cleaning slate and ceramic tiles

hi,friend has asked me to clean his slate and ceramic tiles.Still have not got the training yet but do not want to let him down.He wants them protected too.Going to clean with a high alkaline cleaner and protect the slate with prochems sealant,do ceramic tiles need to be protected???if they do ,will the procjhem product work on them too....Thanks

Do you mean Prochem Stone Seal or Proseal. My advice is to go with the first. It is invisible so you may want to source a water based cour enhancing impregnator if he would like it darkening a little. On the ceramics it will do more for the grout lines as it can't penetrate glazed tiles.

Thanks for your reply,yes its prochem stone seal,hope you dont mind me asking but what and why should i get
 a water based cour enhancing impregnator.will it be ok without it...............

Because it will bring out the colour of the slate.it does make it look better.
