Hi kev
I completed your training course in November last year and since we have been picking quite a few jobs up. On recommendation I have just been to survey approximately 110sqm of victorian tile that are heavily soiled with builders spoil plaster cement and paint etc. I've reread your post regarding Victorian and encaustic tiles.
Would I be looking at..
Phosphoric acid substitute
Maybe mira strip for the paint etc
Then followed by seal and enhance then mira matt.
We have rotaries and soft/medium brushes and pads etc.
What sort of quantities of products would we need.
I have pictures but not sure how to attach them
Regards Alex

Hi Alex,
Was on the course with you. Did a vic floor this week using heavy duty tile and grout cleaner, some honing powder and a soft to medium brush on the rotary.
I used too much honing powder and was rinsing for ages so only use a little!
Then sealed with the seal and enhance sealer we used on the course. 2 coats.(http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/1454686355_image.jpeg)(http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/1454686355_image.jpeg)(http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/1454686353_image.jpeg)
Came up quite nice I think for the first one! I'm sure Kevin could add to this but this worked for me.

Hi Dan.
Hope you're well.
The job I've surveyed earlier is in quite a bad way lots of plaster and cement etc so will probably need more than hdtg and honing powder although I do have them to hand. Really hope I nail this one not just for the ticket price but also for the experience. It's going to be our biggest project yet so if we are successful I want to get it looking stunning.
Did you price on size etc or time.? What sort of price did you quote if you went on size/area (pm if you like.

Sorry mate didn't read the bit about builders mess etc! I did this one on time - was the first one and luckily we had a few other jobs in the house going on at the same time so charged £300 labour. Spent half a day cleaning and about 2 hours sealing couple days later but while sealant was drying etc we had other jobs going on earning money so worked it quite nice. Total time in the house about 12 hours and labour was £650 but this covered all the otherbits. Then materials on top.

Got all your Pics and specs etc. I have replied to your e mail. Do the test area first and let me know how it goes then I will help you to price it up. Should be a great one for your portfolio!

No problem! Don't forget what we covered on the course regarding fissures and faults in Polished Porcelain and of course the dreaded wax. Think Batman Big Blocks small blocks
