Title: Rubber matting in gym
Post by: A Foster on July 07, 2012, 09:04:13 pm
Hi all.

What would be the best way to clean a floor area of rubber?

It is in a gym, approximately 25 square metres of interlocking thick rubber that has the small round
raised circles across all of it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

There was a post on this a coupleof weeks ago.  I used a little Aqua Mix Heavy Duty Tile & Grout Cleaner diluted with a soft to medium nylon brush on a rotary and a wet vac.  I then rinsed with a pH neutral cleaner and an anti bacterial

I would recommend pre spraying the rubber floor with Bio-kleen at 5-1 and let dwell on surface for 2 minutes, Bio-kleen is non-caustic,non-corrosive, and totally safe to use on rubber flooring.
Then use a damp microcleaning mop pad to deep clean and pull to the surface all the ingrained soils, finally flat mop the floor with a damp waffle microfiber floor cloth to absorb all the loosened soils. guaranteed your customer will be delighted with the results. :)
