1. you know if the cust. is a richard head 30 seconds into the job .

2. you can clean suites useing any hand because there as good as each other

3) the customers ask how long it will take and you can say....

"I'll be finished in 43mins" and you will finish in exactly 43mins

4) customers keep commenting how neat/tidy and organised you are.

5) you don't get excited when they say they have a friend/relative who will probably use you.

(6) the customer says "I've vacuumed for you"
 but you still do it all again properly

(7) you spend as long pre-vacuuming as it takes to do the actual clean

(9) customer says "You must have seen some really bad carpets in your time"
but you can't bring yourself to say "Yes this is in the top ten"

You try really hard to persuade a potential customer that they would be better off putting said carpet in the garden and having a fire. 

You can hear it in your own voice as they blurt out, how fed up you are with telling customers how draft marks occur

When you don't wet yourself at the excitement that someone just released a new machine that's got 6 vacuum motors, a 1200psi mini V8 sounding pump and a quadruple heat exchanger system ...... 'cause you know you can do the same job with the kit you've had for years ;)

...The money I've wasted over the years in this game... :'(

You know when you have been doing this for ages.
You leave the franchise and realise that just like everyone said before, 'Why dont you go by yourself'.
You do and realise evreyone was right. You SHOULD have gone by yourself earlier.
And had more of that money to yourself and not them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
